New York: an
old man finds his room turned upside down and his cat cruelly slayed. The man
is Markus, a delicate, old homosexual, owner of a perfume shop near the fifth
avenue. Behind the charm of a new perfume is hidden the stench of international
drugs traffic, homicides, criminals of the worst kind. Against all these things
will have to fight the beautiful Eve, a strong and fragile woman signed by an
old love: but Eve is also a business woman firmly decided to launch Oblio n. 5,
the extraordinary perfume created by Markus, and ready to go everywhere to
bring him back and start the production of the perfume.
From New
York to Katmandu, Singapore and Giacarta, Markus will follow his friend Philip,
a young, unctuos and ambiguos man, the pawn of a sadic drug trafficker who
shares with Markus dark secrets from the second world war: the protagonists of
this romance will follow unawares Philip all around the world in his pretended
search for a santon that may be able to cure his dipendency from heroin.
We will
follow them through the scene of a murder in a nocturnal and ghostly New York
and a long march in the indonesian giungle to reach the supposed santon until
the epilogue of the story, in Bangkok, where all the players will meet togheter
and the many questions opened in the romance will find an answer. Here we
finally discovere the true identity of the santon and his past relationship
with the Mullah Omar, with his dream of bursting an eroine bomb in the U.S.A….
An exciting
romance, full of suspence and coup de théâtre, pervaded by a constant sense of
menace and a noir atmosphere. A chase without breaks from the enchanting
italian cities to the shining scenary of the Far East.
